In late 2024, Hooperz was born out of a real problem — talented players slipping through the cracks because of outdated recruiting systems and gatekeeping. Our founder, a former player who lived this firsthand, set out to build something better: a platform that levels the court for every hooper, no matter where they come from. What started as a bold idea is now a growing movement, connecting the global basketball community.

Before launching Hooperz, Max worked at Varicent as a business consultant in enterprise tech and co-founded an AAU basketball program. He was also a USA Basketball Gold Licensed Coach. Max's unique blend of startup leadership, tech expertise, and on-court experience drives his mission to give every player the exposure they deserve.

With a strong background in full-stack and backend engineering, Brock has contributed to high-impact projects at NICE (NASDAQ) and AgTerra Technologies, where he built scalable systems, optimized cloud infrastructure, and mentored junior developers.
